It is valued using the reported financial results and average price-to-earnings multiple of five publicly traded peers: Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Device Laboratories Limited, Biocon Limited, Cipla Limited / India and Cadila Healthcare Limited.


He also said that he has stud farms, about 250 acres of land and property and houses in Mumbai and Pune. Values ​​for these assets were provided in a signed letter by Poonawala.
The Serum Institute was recognized by the World Health Organization in 1994 for exporting vaccines from India and began supplying them to UN agencies including the United Nations Children's Fund. In 2012, the Indian company bought the Dutch government-run vaccine maker Balthoven Biologicals in its first overseas acquisition. The Serum Institute has used the procurement to link the company-supplied oral drops to organizations as an injection form of polio inoculation.
